My name is Katie Jones and I am a senior at Ohio Northern University. I am on track to graduate in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a focus in marketing and a minor in public relations. I have always known that I wanted to work with people. Marketing and public relations seemed to be the best way to combine my communication skills and creativity with my love of interacting with new people. I look forward to entering the next phase of my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me.
I have had an excellent college experience that has provided me opportunities to grow as a an individual and as a professional. The classes I have taken have given me the tools and skills I will need to succeed in the real world.This summer I completed an internship with the YMCA that helped me improve my social media, writing, and technical skills. It was a great experience and I made many new friends from around the world.
ONU has allowed me to keep a busy schedule. I have been a member of the Ohio Northern Women's Basketball team for four years. Athletics has always been a big part of my life, and basketball has taught me many life lessons such as hard work, perseverance, teamwork, communication, dedication, and time management. I have also been active in Ohio Northern's Student Athletic Advisory Council and worked as a Bear Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. This position has allowed me to meet with potential students from around the country and share my experience at ONU while improving my communication skills.
I am very fortunate to have an amazing family and fabulous friends that support me in everything I do. I love them very dearly and enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I am very energetic and outgoing, and I love to laugh. I have a passion for sports, music, singing, and fashion. It is easy to say that I really just have a passion for life.
